In the Stillness of the Night

In the stillness of the night, when memories of the past come knocking upon your heart's door and you know not the way, may you never forget there is one who silently holds your hand.

In the stillness of the night, when words fall empty in the depths of your soul, and you start doubting all you have ever done and ever known, may your heart hear that faint soft  whisper  "I believe in you."

In the stillness of the night, when tears flow like a river and you know not why, may you feel the fingers of compassion and understanding gently wipe your face. For in your friendship, there is such loving grace.

When regret and confusion cover your eyes, and you feel your feet start to give way as you try and  climb the mountain in your life, may you feel the gently breeze of outstretched hands behind you, holding you up in prayer, lest you fall and break the precious dreams and desires found deep inside the woman of you.
